Our catering takes its name, Bucovina, from the eastern European territory consisting of the northeastern Caprathian Mountains and the adjoining plain in the Ukraine. Bucovina, which means “Land of Beech Trees”, is where our chef Oksana Karcha grew up.

Her passion for cooking came from watching her mother and grandmother, both chefs, create delightful delicacies-- like the art of producing homemade pasta from her mother who was schooled in Italy under a master chef.

Oksana earned her culinary arts degree and was offered the position of executive chef of the prestigious Pharoah restaurant in Bucovina where she worked for many years until decding to come to the United States.

Oksana integrates many American techniques into her cuisine with the culture and artistry inspired by her homeland.
